Dr. Chris Jenkins

Chris Jenkins was born in East Saint Louis Illinois and raised in Gary Indiana.  At the age of fifteen he had an encounter with God wherein he accepted the call of God on his life. After receiving his high school diploma, he joined the United State Marine Corps. While in the Marine Corps, his passion for the Kingdom of God was demonstrated through his witnessing to people on the streets of Oceanside and San Diego, California (CA).

Upon leaving the Marine Corps, Chris attended college and majored in Electronic Engineering and Digital Computers. He married his wife, Julia in November of 1988.   For approximately 25 years, he worked in the field of electronics. His pursuits of higher learning lead to enrollment at Bethel Christian College in Riverside, CA.   Subsequently, he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education and a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies. In 2002, he received with honors, a Doctoral Degree in Biblical Counseling. From 2005 to 2010, he and his wife attended Benny Hinn’s Signs and Wonders School of Ministry.

Dr. Jenkins and his wife are ordained members of the Association of Independent Ministries under the Pastorate of Bishop I.V. Hilliard of New Light Christian Center Church in Houston, Texas. They faithfully served as youth pastors for sixteen years in another ministry before being lead by the Spirit to go into full-time ministry. He founded Greater Works Church in 1997.

Pastor Chris is a visionary and anointed teacher who shares the uncompromised word of God with boldness, accuracy, and great spiritual insight.  Some of the gifts he operates in include: faith, word of knowledge, spiritual discernment ,and prophecy. It is his desire to raise up an army of believers who are spiritually equipped to defeat the enemy and lead overcoming lives. He has written 2 self-help books regarding Christian growth. He and his wife have two daughters and six grandchildren.

Together, Pastor Chris and First Lady Julia have committed to take God’s Word to a hurting and lost generation as they work with the Greater Works family to build greater communities in the Inland Empire.
